In the pedigree of Zambezi we combine the athletic scope and reflexes of Heartbreaker with the boundless power of Calvaro Z. Two stallions that have performed at the very top level with respectively Peter Geerink and Jos Lansink. Additionally Zambezi is a product of an excellent jumping dynasty, NL damline 002. Grandam Alanda (by Le Mexico) performed in the international jumping arena with Pieter Kersten. In combination with Jasper, Alanda also produced the international showjumpers It?s The Business (Goeff Glassard) and Galanda (Edwin Smits).

The international showjumper Now or Never (by Burggraaf) ridden by Piet Raymakers is a son of Galanda. The damline goes back to a full sister of the ?stamping stallion Victor? ( Odin van Wittenstein) via the blood of Kartouche (by Gondelier) and Boris (L?Invasion). This family has also produced the Olympic showjumping stallions ?Darco? (Ludo Phillipaerts) and Arko III (Nick Skelton). Zambesi scored very high points in the performance test in Ermelo 2008. He jumped with very good reflexes and a very good technique. The stallion showed enormous scope and gave his rider a very good feeling.
Zambesi resembles his sire Heartbreaker very much both in his way of jumping and stamping foals. In 2010 Zambesi was already qualified for the final of the worldchampionships in Lanaken. Zambesi was second in three qualifiers of the stallion competition and he won the finals with more than 20 points ahead of number 2!! The kwpn judge awarded Zambesi with one of the best offspring reports ever. He produced a collection of top foals with beautiful conformation and excellent movements. His daughter Fleur was the national foal champion of kwpn.
